SecureTM Home Extra Insurance
Your home and its contents are probably the most expensive possessions you will ever own. Could you afford to replace them if they were damaged, destroyed or stolen?
At United Community, you can get a quote and if accepted, purchase your home and contents insurance now, on-line. And to make sure you have enough cover to suit your needs, there are three options available!
Option 1 - Home building cover
This covers your house, its fittings and fixtures, including garages, outbuildings, fences, gates and in-ground pools, against Insured Events*. If your home is damaged or destroyed by any of the Insured Events*, you’ll be covered for the reasonable costs incurred to repair or rebuild at today’s prices, up to the limit of protection you have selected, less any policy excess.
Option 2 - Home contents cover
This option provides cover for your furniture, furnishings and most household goods and personal effects against loss or damage by any of the Insured Events*. Repair or replacement at current prices up to the limits of protection, less any policy excess, will apply to most contents/items. Some high risk items such as jewellery and stamp collections are subject to item and overall limits.
* These are the insured events:
With home building cover or home contents cover, your property is insured against damage caused by storm, rain or flood (see definition of flood on page 12 of the policy), fire or explosion, malicious acts, theft or attempted theft, accidental escape of liquid and the cost of locating the leakage, collision, falling trees or branches, lightning, earthquake and strikes, riots or civil commotion and accidental breakage of fixed glass.
As with all insurance policies, limits exclusions and conditions apply. You should read your Product Disclosure Statement and Policy Wording carefully.
Option 3 - Personal valuables cover
If you choose home contents cover, you may also choose to include this option which will provide you with worldwide insurance coverage for your valuable personal belongings, such as jewellery, watches, cameras and some sporting equipment (except during use) - even personal money and financial transaction cards.
Personal valuables may be insured as specified or unspecified items. Different levels of cover apply according to whether an item is insured as a specified or unspecified item.
Property, emergency and legal assistance
When you take out your SecureTM Home Extra Insurance with Vero, you will have access to a 24-hour legal and property assistance hotline. One phone call gives you fast access to emergency repairs, tradespeople to do a particular job or just simple advice on maintenance. And if you need it, you can also obtain initial legal advice or guidance.
Secure Landlord Insurance
As a landlord, your home is a significant investment - so it is important that you have effective insurance to protect yourself if it is damaged or destroyed. We have designed the Secure Landlord insurance policy to provide you with just that.
This is only a summary of the benefits. For full terms and conditions (including limitations and exclusions), please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement and Policy Wording.
