Are you a permanent Australian resident?

You need to be a permanent Australian resident to purchase this policy. This means you need to be either:

1. an Australian citizen, or
2. a person who resides in Australia and is eligible for an Australian Medicare card.

If you are not sure, do not proceed. You can ask the Federal Government's Department of Immigration and Citizenship for information.
Are all the travellers to be covered by this policy permanent Australian residents?

All travellers to be covered by this policy need to be permanent Australian residents. This means each traveller needs to be either:

1. an Australian citizen, or
2. a person who resides in Australia and is eligible for an Australian Medicare card.

Please note you must not have already commenced your journey.


An annual multi-trip / frequent traveller policy covers any trip made internationally and domestically within the year.

Please note - There is no limit on the number of journeys you can make during the period of insurance but insurance is limited to maximum of 90 days for any one journey.

A single trip policy covers one trip only.
